Happy New Year! We have been enjoying a big ole rest, watching things like Twin Peaks, Seinfeld, and finishing books, eating a helluva lot of chocolate and cheese (MIGRAINE!), recovering from a cold, and sobbing at the foggy window whilst that trumpet solo from the ‘back to work blues’ kicks in. But it is time to be positive! To look ahead at a new year with new choices, new ideas. And well, we have some:
SUNDOWN OPEN-MIC POETRY & SPOKEN WORD EVENT as part of the ESSEX BOOK FESTIVAL @ ELSIE’S PLACE CAFE, LEIGH COMMUNITY CENTRE, ELM ROAD, LEIGH-ON-SEA, ESSEX from 7.30PM – 10.30PM, £3 ENTRY SUNDAY 15TH MARCH
Based on the popularity of these previous events, we’ll be staging the above in collaboration with this years Essex Book Festival. If you’re interested in reading then please email us [email protected], we can only offer up to 5mins performance time as it’s important that we try to give everyone the chance to read/perform. Thankyou.
Next up, we’re going to have a residency with East London venue; The Strong Room, every couple of months or so throughout the year. Dates are TBC but we’re hoping the first one will be in March or April this year, hopefully on a Sunday evening or daytime. We’ll keep you posted on this when we know more!
We’ll also be planning more workshops, our regular slot at the LEIGH FOLK FESTIVAL of course, and perhaps a few other surprise events thrown in. Remember we’re always available for help or support, so do contact us.
We hope your 2015 turns out to be a good one…x
