Rayleigh Arts Festival is back! Which means Sundown in the Rayleigh Windmill is back! We’ll be putting together our usual open-mic poetry evening where we invite writers, poets, from all walks of life to come along and read/perform with us. Only this time there’s the theme of ‘heritage’ as the festival is part of the Heritage Open Days Programme.
So if you are coming along and reading, don’t forget to bring a heritage themed poem or piece. As well as the Sundown Poets, we’ll have Simon Blackman and Jamie Spracklen reading.
It takes place at the windmill, 1 Hilary Crescent, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 8NB. Refreshments provided. 7-9pm, Free entry. The windmill has a capacity of 22 people so bear this in mind and try to arrive on time!
We’d love to hear your poems so come along and share, we look forward to seeing you there. Please support the rest of the festival by checking out the other events via this gorgeous programme:
